Strynø was chosen as Island of the Year in Denmark in 2022 and is located in the South Funen Archipelago with a ferry connection to the town Rudkøbing on Langeland. It takes 29 minutes to get there.

 

Strynø has a daycare, a small school, a grocery store, a church, a variety of small local businesses and a wide array of local club associations. Currently there are around 220 islanders whereas around 40 are kids. There are 19 nationalities in the active community. The nature is beautiful and the tiny ancient village is full of picturesque houses.
